WALKER GREENBANK ANNOUNCES POTENTIAL SALE OF NORWEGIAN SUBSIDIARY
Walker Greenbank PLC, the wallcoverings and furnishing fabrics group, announces
that it has entered into a letter of intent with Eco-Borastapeter AB of Sweden
for the potential sale of its wholly owned Norwegian subsidiaries Borge Holdings
AS and John O Borge AS ('Borge'), a distributor of wallpapers and fabrics in
Norway, based near Oslo.
The Board of Walker Greenbank does not consider the business of Borge to be core
business for the Group as it is not a distributor for its three main brands
Harlequin, Sanderson and Zoffany.
The purchase is subject to due diligence and the approval of the competition
authorities in Norway, and is expected to complete in mid June 2005.
