WALKER GREENBANK PLC
('Walker Greenbank' or 'the Company')
Trading Update
Walker Greenbank plc (AIM: WGB), the wallpaper, textiles and furnishings
business whose brands include Sanderson, Morris & Co, Harlequin and Zoffany, is
pleased to update the market on its performance in the full year ending 31
January 2005.
The recovery seen in the first half of the year continued into the second half,
and the business continues to trade in line with the Board's expectations. As a
result the Company expects to meet market forecasts for the full year.
As announced on 7 December 2005, the Company has offered all current and
deferred pensioners of the Walker Greenbank Pension Plan a cash payment in lieu
of non-statutory increases to their pensions. The Company has been encouraged by
the level of acceptance of these cash payments and by the resulting improvement
in shareholder funds.
