SAVILLS PLC
AGM STATEMENT
At today's Annual General Meeting, Richard Jewson, Chairman of
Savills plc, made the following comments:
'As I reported in July, the current financial period started
positively across the board.
The Commercial business has had a good start to the year and the
market continues to remain active both in the UK and in mainland
Europe. The UK residential market has slowed and trading in our
residential offices has returned to more normal levels.
FPDSavills Asia Pacific, in its first full period as part of the
Group, is performing well. Within the Savills Finance Holdings
Group, we were pleased to announce that The Residential Property
Unit Trust, which we operate on behalf of Schroders, made its
first purchases.
We expect the major international initiatives made over the last
six months to begin to bear fruit and we remain cautiously
optimistic about the remainder of the period.'
