Conversion of Subscription Shares

Schroder AsiaPacific Fund plc (the "Company") announces that on 11 January 2011 the Company issued 101,651 ordinary shares following the exercise of conversion rights by a number of subscription shareholders. The ordinary shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares and commenced trading yesterday.

Following this issue there are 171,512,992 ordinary shares and 29,114,425 subscription shares in issue. Each ordinary share carries one voting right; the subscription shares carry no voting rights. The total number of voting rights in the Company following this issue is therefore 171,512,992.
