Market Purchase of Company's Own Shares

Notification is given that pursuant to the authority granted at an Annual General Meeting on 19 April 2012 to make market purchases of the Company's own ordinary shares of 5p each, a market purchase of 34,836 ordinary shares in the capital of the Company was made today at a price of 159.07p per share.

Following this purchase and cancellation there are 156,012,512 ordinary shares in issue.

The issued share capital of the Company following this purchase is 156,012,512 ordinary shares of 5p each. The figure to be used as the denominator for calculations of interests in the Company's voting rights is 156,012,512 as on a poll ordinary shareholders have one vote for every 5p in nominal value.
