Issue of Ordinary Shares from Treasury

Schroder Oriental Income Fund Limited (the "Company") has issued 300,000 Ordinary shares of £0.01 each from treasury at a price of 226.58 pence per share on 29 July 2016.

Following this issue, the Company's issued Ordinary share capital consists of 236,496,574 ordinary shares, and an additional 445,000 shares are held in treasury. Accordingly, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 236,496,574.

The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
