PURCHASE OF OWN SHARES

Schroder Oriental Income Fund Limited (the "Company") announces that on 2 June 2020 it purchased 65,000 of its ordinary   shares at a price of 212.19 pence per share, to be held in treasury.

Following this purchase, the Company's issued share capital consists of 270,818,024   ordinary shares of £0.01 each, and an additional 165,000   ordinary shares held in treasury. Accordingly, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 270,818,024 . 

The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
