Issue of Ordinary Shares from Treasury

Schroder Oriental Income Fund Limited (the "Company") issued 525,000 Ordinary shares of £0.01 each from treasury as follows:

100,000 Ordinary shares at 174.53 pence per share on 4 September 2015

150,000 Ordinary shares at 174.86 pence per share on 7 September 2015

275,000 Ordinary shares at 175.21 pence per share on 7 September 2015

Following these issues, the Company's issued Ordinary share capital consists of 233,596,574 ordinary shares, and an additional 3,345,000 shares are held in treasury. Accordingly, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 233,596,574.

The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
