Schroders PLC 22 November 2001 22nd November 2001 SCHRODERS APPOINTS NEW CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER Schroders announces that Nick MacAndrew, Chief Financial Officer, will be leaving the Group with effect from the Annual General Meeting in 2002. He has been with the Group for 30 years and has been Chief Financial Officer for the past 10 years. Peter Sedgwick, Chairman of Schroders plc, said: 'Nick MacAndrew has made a significant contribution to our Investment Banking and Finance areas, both at home and abroad. He has played a major part in the strategic development of the Group and was a key figure in handling the sale of the investment banking business to Salomon Smith Barney. He leaves with our gratitude and his many friends in the City will join with us in extending our very best wishes for the future.' Jonathan Asquith (45) will be appointed Chief Financial Officer and will join the Board of Schroders plc. He is currently head of UK private banking at Barclays plc. He was previously Chief Operating Officer of Deutsche Morgan Grenfell and, prior to that, Finance Director of Morgan Grenfell Group plc.
