Awards under the LTIP are granted for nil consideration. The LTIP is designed as a forward looking plan which incentivises future performance and increases a participant's shareholding in the Company. Awards are subject to performance criteria measured over a four year cycle. This award will vest, if and to the extent that the performance criteria have been met at the end of the four year period, in March 2016 on notification of our results for 2015. The two performance targets are net new business inflows and earnings per share growth relative to a market proxy. Both net new business and earnings growth over the long term are key drivers of shareholder value, and by using a relative measure for earnings growth the impact of market movements on earnings is excluded. The award price for the ordinary shares was £15.60 and £12.49 for the non-voting ordinary shares.
