Appointment of Non-Executive Director
Schroders plc today announces the appointment of Lord Howard of Penrith to the Board as a non-executive Director, effective immediately.
Michael Miles, Chairman of Schroders, said ‘We are delighted that Philip is joining Schroders as a Non-executive Director. His breadth of experience in financial services will further strengthen the Board and I look forward to his contribution.’
Lord Howard will be a member of the Nominations Committee.
There are no further details required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13 in connection with his appointment.

Lord Howard of Penrith, 63, is Chairman of Tarchon Capital Management, which manages portfolios of hedge funds for institutions and high net worth individuals. Before joining Tarchon in 1998, he was Deputy to the Chairman of Lehman in Europe having previously run Fixed Income, Derivatives and Prime Brokerage in Europe. Before that, he worked at Phillips & Drew where he was the Partner in charge of International Fixed Income. Lord Howard was educated at Ampleforth College and Christ Church College, Oxford.
