Schroders plc announces that Kevin Parry has decided to step down as Chief Financial Officer and as a Director of the Company with effect from 5 May 2013. It is the Board's intention to appoint Richard Keers to succeed Mr Parry at that time.
Richard Keers is currently a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). He was PwC's Global Relationship Partner for Schroders from 2006 to 2010. He joined PwC in 1988 and has been a partner in their financial services practice since 1997. On appointment Mr Keers would join the Board of Schroders plc and the Group Management Committee and would have responsibility for Finance, Risk, Human Resources, Internal Audit and Corporate Communications.
Michael Dobson, Chief Executive, commented "I would like to thank Kevin for his significant contribution to Schroders over the last ten years, as a non-executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee and, since 2009, as Chief Financial Officer. I very much look forward to working with Richard. His previous experience positions him well for his new role as CFO."
Kevin Parry commented "I have greatly enjoyed my time at Schroders and participating in its development. I am pleased to be able to hand over to Richard Keers following the completion of the 2012 Annual Report and Accounts in May next year."
There are no other details that are required to be disclosed in respect of Mr Keers' appointment under paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
