Paragraph 13 of the Listing Rules, we hereby inform you that the company has
today been notified by Legal & General Investment Management Limited that
following a sale in the market of 177,847 ordinary shares of Schroders plc on
7th December 2001, the interest of Legal & General Investment Management
Limited is now 6,679,810 ordinary shares, representing 2.95% of the issued
ordinary share capital of Schroders plc, and has thus ceased to be a
notifiable interest.
