notified on 3 February 2004 by Legal & General Investment Management Limited
that following a sale of ordinary shares of Schroders plc its interest is now
6,770,346 ordinary shares, representing 2.99% of the issued ordinary share
capital of Schroders plc, and that consequently Legal & General Group plc and/or
its subsidiaries has ceased to have a notifiable interest.
