Appointment of Director
The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Fiona McBain as a Director of the Company with effect from 26 February 2009.
Fiona McBain is Chief Executive of Scottish Friendly Assurance, a Glasgow based and mutually owned financial services group with over 500,000 policyholders. Before joining Scottish Friendly in 1998, Fiona McBain, a chartered accountant, was employed by Prudential plc. and Arthur Young (now Ernst and Young) where she spent some time working across a number of industry sectors, both in the UK and in the United States. She is also a Director of the Association of Friendly Societies and a Director of the Association of Mutual Insurers.
The Chairman of Scottish Mortgage, Sir Donald MacKay said: 'I am very pleased that Fiona is joining the Board of Scottish Mortgage. Fiona will bring to Scottish Mortgage a very useful perspective that covers a number of important areas.'
There is no further information required to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13.
