Retirement of Non-Executive Director

London, 27 April 2022 - Serica Energy plc (AIM: SQZ), announces the retirement from the Board of Directors of Ian Vann, Non-Executive Director with effect from 30 April 2022.  Mr Vann joined the Board as a Non-Executive Director in July 2007.

Tony Craven Walker, Chairman of Serica commented:

" The Company owes Ian a great deal and we are sad to see him leave.  His contribution to the Board has been considerable. The transformation of the Company from a pure exploration company when he joined the Board to a leading UK North Sea production and operating company that it is today owes a great deal to his wise input to Board discussion and to his support of the Executive. The Board, and I am sure shareholders, would like to thank him for the significant contribution that he made to the Company's success."
