Share Purchase by Directors
Serica Energy plc (TSX Venture: SQZ; AIM: SQZ) announces that the Trustees of the Serica Energy Share Incentive Plan ("the Plan") have made purchases of Serica shares under the terms of the Plan on behalf of employees and officers of the Company as a result of which certain directors increased their beneficial shareholdings in the Company by a total of 2,007 shares on 13 October 2010, as follows:
Paul Ellis (Chief Executive) acquired 669 ordinary shares at a price of 56 pence per share taking his total beneficial shareholding to 927,623 shares representing 0.53% of the voting rights;
Christopher Hearne (Finance Director) acquired 669 ordinary shares at a price of 56 pence per share taking his total beneficial shareholding to 736,083 shares representing 0.42% of the voting rights;
Peter Sadler (Chief Operating Officer) acquired 669 ordinary shares at a price of 56 pence per share taking his total beneficial shareholding to 77,623 shares representing 0.04% of the voting rights.
The Company has 176,570,311 shares issued and outstanding.
