APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR


Following completion of the acquisition of Action Merchants Limited, Ian
Cochrane has joined the board of Severfield-Rowen plc as an executive director
with immediate effect.  Ian Cochrane remains a joint Managing Director of Fisher
Engineering.


There are no further disclosures required under Rule 9.6.13 of the Listing
Rules.
