Response to the Tanzania ban on the export of metallic mineral concentrates
Shanta Gold (AIM: SHG), the East Africa-focused gold producer, developer and explorer, notes today's press release from the Tanzanian Ministry of Energy and Minerals with regards to a ban on exports of gold/copper concentrate following a directive made by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Shanta would like to clarify that it does not produce or export any concentrate. Shanta produces and exports gold dore and as such there is no impact to the Company.
