Scott Wilson Group plc
Interim Management Statement
Scott Wilson Group plc ("Scott Wilson" or "the Group"), the international
consultancy offering integrated professional services in the transportation,
property, environment and natural resources sectors, issues its Interim
Management Statement for the period from 1 November 2007 to date.
Trading
Market conditions have remained favourable during the third quarter in the
Group's core market segments and all divisions have continued to take advantage
of this positive trading environment. Strong demand across both the domestic and
international businesses has been reflected in a good flow of new contract
awards.
As a result, the Board remains confident of achieving results for the full year
in line with expectations. Looking beyond the financial year-end, the Group sees
strong demand continuing in its core markets, both in the UK and
internationally.
The Group continues to identify opportunities to supplement its strong organic
growth with value-enhancing acquisitions. Net group borrowings remain modest,
providing headroom for those acquisition opportunities, which fit the Group's
strict commercial and financial criteria.
The Group intends to issue a pre-close update for the year ended 27 April 2008
on 7 May 2008.
Board of Directors
The Board is pleased to announce that Hugh Blackwood, currently joint Chief
Executive, will become Group Chief Executive with effect from 1 May 2008. Ron
Wall, presently joint Chief Executive, will step down from the Board on the same
date. This change marks the next step in the transition of executive management
responsibility from the pre-flotation Board structure to the next generation of
business leaders.
Following the appointment of Sean Cummins as Group Finance Director on 1 October
2007, the new Board structure further strengthens the executive management team
as it plans, with confidence, for the next phase of the Group's development.
