Appointment of Non-Executive Director

The Board of Shires Income PLC (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Robin Archibald as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 May 2017. 

Robin Archibald has a wide range of experience in advising and managing transactions in the UK closed-ended funds sector. He was a director of Winterflood Investment Trusts until May 2014, where he was head of corporate finance and broking from August 2004 until August 2013. He is currently a non-executive director of Albion Technology & General VCT PLC, Ediston Property Investment Company PLC, Capital Gearing Trust PLC and Henderson European Focus Trust plc. He is a Chartered Accountant.

Within the last five years he has been a director of Albion Income & Growth VCT PLC (until 2014, prior to a members' voluntary liquidation in 2015). There are no further disclosures required under Section 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules in relation to this appointment.

He will stand for election at the Annual General Meeting to be held on 11 July 2017.
