SIG plc received notification on 24th January 2003 from AVIVA plc that, in
accordance with sections 198 to 208 of the Companies Act 1985, following the
sale of 1,810,000 ordinary shares 10p each in SIG plc on 21st January 2003,
AVIVA plc and its subsidiary Morley Fund Management Limited no longer had a
notifiable interest in the shares of SIG plc.
