The Company has today, 16 February 2007, been notified that Legal & General Plc
through its subsidiary Legal & General Assurance (Pensions Management) Limited
has an interest in the voting rights of 4,423,743 Ordinary Shares of 10p each in
SIG plc, representing 3.59% of the issued share capital of 123,110,899 Ordinary
Shares of 10p each of the Company.
