Dame Sue Tinson, DBE


Following the appointment of Dame Sue Tinson, DBE as a non-executive director of
St Ives plc with effect from 1 January 2004, we hereby confirm that she has held
directorships other publicly quoted companies during the previous five years as
follows:

1.  Asda Group plc (formerly publicly quoted). Resigned 10 September 1999.
2.  Cannons Group plc (formerly publicly quoted). Resigned 10 April 2000.
3.  Freeserve plc (formerly publicly quoted). Resigned 14 February 2001.
4.  Chime Communications plc (FTSE Fledgling). Current appointment. Appointed 
    11 September 2001
