SEB today announced that Hanse Ringström, in his role as responsible for SEB's
Asian franchise, will relocate to Hong Kong upon the opening of the new branch
this summer. Additionally, Carl Christensson has been appointed head of SEB's
Hong Kong branch and will also be located there. This will strengthen SEB's
presence in the region as the Asian market grows in importance for an increasing
number of SEB's clients and Hong Kong has developed into an important financial
centre in the world economy.
Ringström is responsible for SEB's Asian franchise as well as Chairman of SEB
Asia Advisory Board, since a number of years and in addition also a member of
the Merchant Banking management team. Christensson is deputy head of Structured
Finance at the Merchant Banking division and previously to this head of SEB's
Shanghai branch which he also established.
SEB has operated in Asia for over 30 years through offices in Beijing,
Singapore, Shanghai and New Delhi.
