Notification of Preliminary Results

Smiths News, the UK's leading wholesaler of newspapers and magazines, will be announcing its preliminary results for the year ending 31 August 2008 on Thursday 16 October 2008.

A meeting for analysts will be held at 9.30am at the offices of Buchanan Communications, 45 Moorfields, London EC2Y 9AE on Thursday 16 October 2008.

An audio webcast of the presentation will be available from 10.30am on Thursday 16 October 2008.
