The Directors of Siam Investment Fund (the 'Fund') wish to announce the 
following appointment to the Board of Directors of the Fund:

Mr. Mungkorn Kriengwatana, has been appointed as Director of the Fund effective 
November 1, 2001. Mr. Kriengwatana, age 48, a Thai national, is currently 
Managing Director of Quality Minerals Co. Ltd., a position he has held since 
1995. He has been Chairman of Q.M. Ishihara Co. Ltd. since 1997. Prior to his 
current position he was Senior Executive Vice President of TPI Polene Public Co.
Ltd. from 1987 to 1995. He served as Senior Vice President of Thai Petrochemical
Industry Pcl, from 1978 to 1995. Mr. Kriengwatana received an MBA in Finance in 
1977 from the University of Illinois in the USA.
