SOLID STATE SUPPLIES PLC ('Solid State' or 'the Company')
Acquisition of New Franchises, Creation of New Division and Expansion into
France
1. Acquisition of New Franchises
Solid State is pleased to announce that it has recently signed five new
franchises with the following suppliers:
Dense-Pac
LEA
Linfinity
Mitsubishi Electric
Net Silicon
These new franchises take the total number of franchises operated by Solid
State to fifteen.
2. Establishment of a New Division
In order to capitalise on the current rapid growth in demand for the
Company's products, Solid State has also established a new division,
Highway Technologies, which will co-ordinate the distribution of components
to the rapidly expanding communications market. Highway Technologies will
stock products from the following manufacturers:
Cross
Holtek
LEA
Microsemi
Net Silicon
Teccor
VIA
YCL
Highway Technologies is also planning to open a sales office in Tours,
France which will initially target Tier 1 companies with selected product
lines. All shipments and invoices will continue to be made from the UK.
