APPOINTMENT OF FINANCE DIRECTOR 

Further to the statement dated 21 December 1999, Sopheon plc 
('Sopheon' and formerly PolyDoc plc) announces that Mr Arif Karimjee
has taken up his position as Finance Director with effect from 1st
February 2000.

At the same time, Mr Iljitsj Wiebenga has stepped down from Sopheon's
board and continues as Group Controller and Company Secretary.
