                              Holding in company

Sopheon plc ('Sopheon' or 'the Company') announces that it was notified
yesterday by Norman Nominees Limited (formerly Brandon Nominees Limited) that
it has transferred part of its holdings in the Company between independent
legal and beneficial interests and divided a further part of its holdings in
the Company between independent legal and beneficial interests which do not
fall within the definition of a notifiable interest under s198 to s208 of the
Companies Act 1985.  While the total holding of Norman Nominees Limited and
the independent legal and beneficial interests remains unchanged at 2,252,304
ordinary shares, representing 5.8% of the Company's ordinary share capital,
neither the interest of Norman Nominees Limited nor that of any of the
individual legal or beneficial interests represent 3% or more of the Company's
ordinary share capital.  Consequently Norman Nominees Limited will not be
classified as a Significant Shareholder as defined by the AIM rules.
