NOTIFICATION OF INTEREST OF DIRECTOR IN SHARES

The following information is disclosed under Rule 16.3 of the Listing Rules:

Mr Colin McGill, an executive director of the company, has notified the company
of his interest in the company's shares in accordance with s.324(1) of the
Companies Act 1985.  Mr McGill owns 2,260,958 5p Ordinary Shares.

The transaction giving rise to Mr McGill's interest in shares was affected on
16th June 2000.  The transaction was the purchase of 2,260,958 5p Ordinary
Shares at a price of 17.5p per share.  The total value of the purchase was
£395,667.65 pounds sterling.  The shares were purchased from Mr J Swent, who
retired as a director of the company on 31st May 2000.

The disclosure was made to the company on 20th June 2000.
