Board Appointment
SSP Group plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Per Utnegaard as an independent non-executive director of the Company with effect from 1 July 2015. He will also serve as a member of the Board's Remuneration and Audit Committees.
Per Utnegaard has been Group President and CEO of Swissport International Ltd., the world's leading provider of ground and cargo handling services to the aviation industry, since 2007. His previous roles include Group Wholesale Director and a member of the Group Board at Alliance Unichem plc, Senior Vice President, Corporate Business Development at Danzas Holding Ltd. (a subsidiary of Deutsche Post AG), and various senior positions at TNT Post Group. Between 2004 and 2013 he was also a non-executive director at Berendsen Plc.
Commenting on the appointment, Vagn Sørensen, Chairman of SSP, said: "'We are delighted to welcome Per to the Board. His significant management experience in a number of senior pan-European and global positions, as well as his substantial knowledge of the international airport sector, will be highly complementary to the balance of skills on our Board."
There is no other information to be disclosed under paragraph 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules.
