RESOLUTIONS PASSED AT ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Thursday 4 May 2006
Standard Chartered PLC announces the result of voting on the resolutions at its
Annual General Meeting held on Thursday 4 May 2006, as set out in the AGM
notice.
Each of the resolutions was passed by the required majority. Resolutions 1 to 14
(inclusive) and 18 to 21 (inclusive) as ordinary resolutions and Resolutions 15
- 17 as special resolutions were passed on a show of hands.
Details are set out below of the proxy votes received by Standard Chartered PLC
before the AGM in respect of all resolutions.
A copy of the resolutions put to shareholders at the AGM today has been
submitted to the UK Listing Authority and will shortly be available for
