RESOLUTIONS PASSED AT ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Thursday 5 May 2005
Standard Chartered PLC announces the result of voting on the resolutions at its
Annual General Meeting held on Thursday 5 May 2005, as set out in the AGM
notice.
Each of the resolutions was passed by the required majority. Resolutions 1 - 14
as ordinary resolutions and Resolutions 15 - 18 as special resolutions were
passed on a show of hands.
Details are set out below of the proxy votes received by Standard Chartered PLC
before the AGM in respect of all resolutions.
A copy of the resolutions put to shareholders at the AGM today has been
submitted to the UK Listing Authority and will shortly be available for
inspection at the UK Listing Authority's Document Viewing Facility, which is
