                         ('Synairgen' or the 'Company')

                            Director's Shareholding

The Company was informed on 12 March 2008 that Simon Shaw, Non-executive
Chairman of Synairgen, acquired 50,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company
('Ordinary Shares') at a price of 46 pence per share on 12 March 2008. As a
consequence of this transaction, his holding in the Company equates to 105,400
Ordinary Shares, which represents approximately 0.5 per cent. of the issued
ordinary share capital of the Company. Taking account of his 700,000 Founder
Options (exercisable at nominal value) his total interest represents
approximately 3.7 per cent. of the issued share capital.
