Synchronica plc, the international provider of mobile email and synchronization solutions, is pleased to announce that Sun Microsystems Inc ("Sun") has elected an option for the first major version for the application server sync suite technology from Synchronica, as agreed in the contract signed in August 2007. In December 2007, Sun accepted the first major version of the software, and one hundred percent of this initial license fee will be applied to this election.

 

Any future sale of Synchronica's mobile synchronisation technology as part of Sun Java Communications Suite will result in additional annual licence fees for Synchronica.
