Trading Update
Synchronica plc (AIM: SYNC.LN), the mobile synchronisation and device management
company, is pleased to announce that trading for the year ended December, 2007
was in line with market expectations.
The Company will, subject to audit, report revenue of £2.1m for the year ended
December 2007, double that for 2006, and a much reduced loss before tax of £3m
for 2007, down from a loss before tax of £5.7m in 2006. Following the placing
completed on 15th January the Directors believe that the Company has sufficient
cash to meet its present needs.
Commenting on progress in 2007, CEO Carsten Brinkschulte said: "We are pleased
to have met market expectations for 2007 and delighted with the Company's strong
progress in the second half of the year, in particular our licensing agreement
with Sun Microsystems. Synchronica with its mobile synchronization, push e-mail
and backup and restore solutions has a suite of products that can capitalize on
the compelling opportunity to make mobile phones - especially in booming
emerging markets - the primary means of accessing the Internet.
"We enter 2008 with strong momentum and a healthy and growing sales pipeline.
As a result we look forward to building on our achievements and fulfilling
market expectations for 2008 with confidence and optimism."
