Pre-Close Trading Update

System C Healthcare plc (AIM: SYS) ("the Company"), a leading provider of information solutions and services to the healthcare sector, is pleased to provide the following trading update for the six months ending 30 November 2008, prior to entering its close period. As at 31 May 2008, net cash balances stood at £12.4 million. Since that date, revenues, profit and cash have continued to grow as forecast, and the Company is on track to meet consensus market expectations for the full year.

Services

National demand for System C's expert services remains strong in both the public and private healthcare sectors. Activity continues to increase in the Company's traditional stronghold areas of deployment support and problem resolution. Its presence in specialist areas such as clinical design and business intelligence also continues to grow.

Products

The product division has performed well over the half year, with successful deployments of Medway Sigma, Eclipse Maternity, Sigma BI and IQUtopia. All the product development teams are now working towards a common code-set, and it is expected that the entire product range will be available under a single Medway Sigma banner by the end of the first half of the 2009 calendar year.

System C's CEO, Dr Ian Denley, said "We are continuing to build on our reputation for high quality delivery and are reaping the benefits of that work. An increase in new product opportunities, coupled with sustained demand for deployment services and the potential for growth by selective acquisition, are encouraging signs for 2009 and beyond."
