TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES

The Company announces that it has purchased 6,760 ordinary shares of 25 pence each in the Company at a price of 89.5 pence per share and transferred them into treasury.

The Company now holds a total of 1,430,526 new ordinary shares of 25 pence each in the Company in treasury and the total number of voting rights in the Company is 4,582,954.

In August 2012 the Company wrote to all shareholders holding 2,000 ordinary shares or less offering them a share sale service, free of dealing costs.  As part of the service, the Company will, subject to certain terms and conditions, purchase any shares that are sold.  Any eligible shareholder wishing to take advantage of the offer should respond to the letter or telephone the Company's registrars, Capita Registrars, on 0203 367 2700.
