Following a recent transaction in the Ordinary shares of 1p each of Tanfield
Group plc , Jupiter Asset Management Limited ('Jupiter') notified the Company on
28 April 2006 that it has an aggregate holding of 17,651,500 shares in the
Company which represents 7.34 per cent. on an issued share capital of
240,544,000.


Jupiter further notifies, on behalf of its client, Jupiter Primadona Growth
Trust Plc ('Jupiter Primadona') that Jupiter Primadona holds 5,050,000 Ordinary
shares in the Company which represents 2.10 per cent. of the total share capital
of 240,544,000.


Jupiter does not hold any shares beneficially, but holds them as an investment
manager acting on behalf of discretionay clients.
