In conformity with the Transparency Directive's Transitional Provision 6,
Tanfield would like to notify the market of the following:


Tanfield's issued capital comprises 292,072,467 shares of ordinary shares of par
value 1 pence each. All of these shares carry voting rights.


The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the
calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their
interest in, or change to their interest in, Tanfield Group plc under the FSA's
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
