Taylor Wimpey plc: Taylor Wimpey Share Option Plan ('TWSOP') and Taylor Wimpey Performance Share Plan ('TWPSP') - 2009 Conditional Awards
Taylor Wimpey plc ('the Company') announces that the following conditional executive share options and performance share awards have today been granted to three Executive Directors and one Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility ('PDMR') as set out below:

The price used to calculate the awards was 39.34p being the average mid-market close price for Taylor Wimpey plc shares for the three days prior to the date of the awards on 7 August 2009.
The vesting of awards under the TWSOP and TWPSP is subject to the achievement of performance criteria measured at the end of the performance period as set out below:
TWSOP - the Company's return on capital employed exceeding defined levels over the period between 1 January 2009 and 31 December 2012;
TWPSP - the Company's total shareholder return compared to a designated peer group (50%) and the FTSE250 (50%) for the three years following the date of grant.
Subject to the applicable performance criteria being achieved, vesting will not take place until 2013 in respect of each plan.
