Board Changes
The Board of Taylor Wimpey plc announces the following Board changes:
Kate Barker CBE - Appointment as an Independent Non Executive Director *
The Board is delighted to announce the appointment of Kate Barker as an Independent Non Executive Director with effect from 21 April 2011.
Kate has previously held a number of high profile roles which include membership of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of England from 2001 until 2010. She also led independent reviews for the Government on UK Housing Supply and on Land Use Planning.
Kate is a Board Member of the Homes and Communities Agency and was also a member of its predecessor body, the Housing Corporation. She will stand down from this position prior to joining the Board of Taylor Wimpey.
Kate is also currently a Non Executive Director of Electra Private Equity plc and Yorkshire Building Society, as well as a senior adviser to Credit Suisse. She is also Chair of the Northern Ireland Economic Advisory Group.
Andrew Dougal - Independent Non Executive Director
After more than eight years service, Andrew Dougal has confirmed to the Board that he will be standing down from the Board as an Independent Non Executive Director immediately prior to the Company's Annual General Meeting scheduled for 1100 on 21 April 2011 (the "AGM").
Andrew is currently a Non Executive Director of Premier Farnell plc and Creston plc.
Katherine Innes Ker - Independent Non Executive Director
After more than nine years service, Katherine Innes Ker has also confirmed to the Board that she will be standing down from the Board as an Independent Non Executive Director immediately prior to the AGM.
Katherine is currently a Non Executive Director of St. Modwen Properties PLC, The Go Ahead Group plc and Tribal Group plc.
