The Company was informed that, as a result of his Executive Share Option Schemes
coming towards expiry, the following Director exercised his options over
Ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company under the Tesco Executive Share Option
Scheme and sold a total of 86,995 Ordinary shares at a price of 285.75p on 30
September 2004.
