The Company has today been informed that on 27 May 2002 Professor Sir Charles
George, Non-Executive Chairman of the Company, bought 90,000 ordinary shares in
the Company at 13.25p per share.

As a result, Professor Sir Charles George now holds 340,000 ordinary shares,
representing approximately 0.55 per cent. of the current issued share capital of
the Company.
