                             Director Shareholding

The Company has today been informed that on 31 May 2002 Dr David Clough, a
Non-Executive Director of the Company, bought 37,000 ordinary shares in the
Company at 13p per share.

As a result, Dr Clough now holds 203,667 ordinary shares, representing
approximately 0.33 per cent. of the current issued share capital of the Company.
