Evolution Group Plc
Appoints new non-executive Director
The Board of Evolution Group Plc ("Evolution") is pleased to announce the
appointment of Mark Nicholls as a non-executive director with effect from Friday
29 September 2006.
Aged 57, Nicholls is currently Chairman of EcoSecurities Group Plc and holds
other non-executive directorships including Bovis Homes Group Plc and Venture
Production Plc.
After qualifying as a solicitor with Linklaters, Nicholls joined SG Warburg, the
investment bank. During a Warburgs career spanning two decades he rose to head
Warburgs' corporate finance division and became a main board director of SG
Warburg Group PLC. He left Warburgs in 1996 in the wake of its sale to Swiss
Bank Corporation (SBC), which in turn subsequently was acquired by UBS. He then
spent seven years as a director of the private equity division of Royal Bank of
Scotland, and was Managing Director of RBPE from 2000-03.
Commenting on Nicholls' appointment Evolution's chairman, Martin Gray, said: "I
am delighted that Mark has agreed to join our Board. His past experience as a
director of a leading listed UK investment bank and his detailed knowledge of
corporate finance and capital markets will be invaluable as we take Evolution on
to the next stage of its development."
Nicholls said: "Evolution has come a long way in a short space of time and I
believe my long experience at Warburgs will be extremely valuable. Over the past
year Martin and his CEO Alex Snow have done much to strengthen Evolution's
competitive position and I look forward to playing my part in the continuation
of this process over the next few years."
