                  Appointment of Joint Company Secretary

Thor Mining PLC ('Thor' or the 'Company') the mineral exploration and
development company focussed on advancing molybdenum and tungsten projects in
the Northern Territory of Australia announces the appointment of Damian Delaney
as joint company secretary with responsibility for the Company's secretarial
affairs emanating from Australia, with effect from 2 December 2005.

Mr Delaney is a Chartered Accountant with many years experience working with
international companies, including companies listed on the London Stock
Exchange, as finance director, chief financial officer and in various financial
management positions. Mr Delaney was chief financial officer and group financial
director respectively of Palandri Limited and Tarsus Group PLC, companies listed
on the London Stock Exchange.

Mr Delaney manages all aspects of the Company's financial affairs, AIM reporting
requirements, regulatory requirements and IT operations. He is also chief
financial officer and company secretary for Batavia Mining Limited and Tennant
Creek Gold Limited, both listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.
