Dated: 28 May 2008
Thor Mining PLC (the 'Company' or 'Thor'), AIM, ASX: 'THR' the specialist metals company focused on advancing tungsten-molybdenum and uranium projects in the Northern Territory of Australia, today announces an update on current exploration activities at its uranium exploration projects in the Northern Territory of Australia.
At Bundey River Uranium Project 2,500 metres of air-core drilling will be completed during May and June to test for roll front style mineralisation in the palaeo-channels identified and modelled from the airborne EM survey completed in January 2008. A detailed interpretation of the data has been received from Montana GIS. A number of basement conductors have also been identified which may have base metal potential, a few of these will be selected for drill testing at the completion of the program. The drilling rig being used has slimline RC capability to 120m.
Commenting on the planned work, Thor Mining's Chief Executive Officer, Mr John Young said: 'A number of drilling targets have now been identified and this short program is designed to focus on targets identified within the top 100m. This is our first drilling program for 2008 and we are planning on completing further work on the Harts Range Uranium Project when suitable drilling equipment has been contracted'.
