FW Thorpe plc - Executive Changes


With effect from 30 June 2003, Mr Colin Brangwin will be retiring as
non-executive Chairman of FW Thorpe plc but will remain on the board as a
non-executive director. Mr Andrew Thorpe is to be appointed executive Chairman
of the Group and Mr Michael Allcock is to be appointed Managing Director of
Thorlux Lighting. These appointments take will effect on 1 July 2003.


After these changes have taken places the Board responsibilities will be as
follows:

Mr Michael Allcock        Managing Director - Thorlux Lighting

Dr David Dimeloe          Managing Director - Mackwell Electronics

Mr David Lippold          Managing Director - Compact Lighting


Mr Colin Brangwin         Non-executive Director

Mr Ian Thorpe             Non-executive Director
